The crew was based in Lake Tahoe / Placer County for two weeks while filming portions of the avalanche scene further north at the Sierra Buttes. Other parts of that scene were filmed at Mammoth in Mono County, as well as at the Alps in Europe. The bridge jump, though, was entirely filmed at Foresthill Bridge in Auburn.
