| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() ![]() I haven't yet figured out where this location was filmed. In the movie, it was the Visitors' human food-processing station.
![]() The Belmont Tunnel is located at at Glendale Boulevard & 1st Street at Lucas Avenue & 2nd Street, Los Angeles. See the page for the first V movie for much more detailed information on this particular location.
![]() This view of Los Angeles was shown several times. |
![]() The interior of the motherships was filmed on stage, probably at Warner Bros. in Burbank.
![]() The Los Angeles Medical Center was shot at one of the NBC buildings on W. Alameda Avenue between Olive Avenue and Niagara Street in Burbank. It has since undergone extensive remodeling, as seen in the contemporary photo on the right, shot on 2 September 2004.
![]() ![]() ![]() Here are four more movie pictures and one more contemporary picture of this location. Notice that the driveway on which the Visitors and their shuttlecraft are standing has since been filled in with grass and palm trees. Chadney's Steakhouse still exists across the street.
![]() Was this also shot at NBC or somewhere else? |
![]() Another shot of the mothership over Los Angeles.
![]() ![]() The Visitors Security Headquarters was filmed at Alverno High School, 200 North Michillinda Avenue at Highland Avenue, Sierra Madre. The car is entering from the Highland Avenue gate.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The four pictures on the left are from the movie while the four pictures on the right are contemporary shots taken on 2 September 2004. This scene was filmed in front of the Rosslyn Hotel at 112 West 5th Street at South Main Street, Downtown Los Angeles.
![]() These are a couple more shots from the Belmont Tunnel in Los Angeles (see above).
![]() ![]() Where was this equestrian scene filmed?
![]() Filmed at Point Vicente County Park in Rancho Palos Verdes (see below), this is actually the same location that the Resistance moves to later in the movie. We're probably meant to believe this shot is elsewhere because the lighthouse reverse is not shown, and, in terms of the story, it wouldn't make sense for Ham Tyler to later bring the Resistance back to a spot that Mike Donovan had previously used as a meeting place with Martin (since Donovan's impending interrogation via truth serum could reveal this location). |
![]() Once again, the Belmont Tunnel in Los Angeles.
![]() Was the interior of the Los Angeles Medical Center also filmed at the NBC Building in Burbank? |
![]() The rooftop of the same place definitely appears to have been filmed elsewhere, but where?
![]() This sequence definitely was filmed at the NBC Building on Alameda Avenue. The ambulance is driving from the back parking lot out to the street, and Julie's capture is in the Chadney's parking lot.
![]() Alverno High School, Sierra Madre. |
![]() Downtown Los Angeles.
![]() Ham Tyler is, um, "location scouting" the Belmont Tunnel. |
![]() Where were all the hideout interiors filmed?
![]() These three shots show various views of downtown Los Angeles, including City Hall in the last picture.
![]() ![]() The Belmont Tunnel is under attack by the Visitors. But why'd they let Dan Pascal know their hidden location anyway?
![]() The Dupres House was filmed at 1090 Rubio Street near Maiden Lane in Altadena.
![]() The second base of operations for the Resistance was filmed at Sable Ranch, 25933 Sand Canyon Road, Canyon Country, Santa Clarita. This is private property that is regularly used as a filming location for Hollywood movies.
![]() ![]() More from Alverno High School in Sierra Madre. That first picture is, of course, a composite of several from a camera pan and tilt.
![]() ![]() ![]() This is the Castaic Power Plant at 37700 Templin Highway, Castaic, at the northwesternmost end of Castaic Lake.
![]() ![]() ![]() These scenes too were also all shot at the Castaic Power Plant in Castaic, CA.
![]() ![]() The Bronson Caves are located off Canyon Drive / Brush Canyon Trail in Griffith Park, Los Angeles.
![]() You know, this mothership really gets around. Sometimes it's over downtown L.A., sometimes Burbank, and sometimes over Castaic, which is about forty miles north. Here, though, it's approximately above Wilshire Boulevard and Beverly Hills. |
![]() Okay, I included this picture not because Diana is hot, but because of the background shot of my hometown, San Francisco. Notice the Golden Gate Bridge with the mothership above it? This scene, though, was filmed on stage, probably at Warner Bros. in Burbank.
![]() Anyone recognize this building? It's probably somewhere on the L.A. River, south of 6th Street. Was its interior filmed there too?
![]() In the first movie, the Bernstein house was filmed in Pacific Palisades. Was it the same place for this movie? And thank you, Caleb Taylor, for the scene after this one. Daniel finally got what he deserved!
![]() ![]() ![]() Back at picture #36, Donovan and Martin met on some coastal cliffs. This now, the latest Resistance base, was filmed at the very same location. This is the Point Vicente Lighthouse at 31501 Palos Verdes Drive West, Rancho Palos Verdes. The lens was made in Paris in 1886 and used for forty years in Alaska before being put into this new 67-foot lighthouse in 1926. The light can be seen for 20 miles out to sea.
![]() ![]() The hot air balloon shots were done in Albuquerque at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
