Colusa, Colusa County: The Sheriff's Department was filmed at what was then an Andrew Carnegie library, but is now the Colusa Police Department. The mayor's home was filmed at either the Tuttle House (now the Yerxa House) or the Roach House. The outgoing sheriff's home was filmed at the Rankine House, now the offices of attorney Leo Steidlmeyer. The old timers' benches are in front of the Colusa County Courthouse. The sign on the courthouse lawn was placed there by the film crew for filming and kept by the city as a gift afterwards.
