A major film will be shot in Humboldt County next spring, Film Commissioner Jensen Rufe announced at Tuesday's Eureka City Council meeting.

"The Bijou," a Castle Rock film, will be directed by Frank Darabont, director of "The Green Mile" and "The Shawshank Redemption." Shooting is expected to take place in Ferndale around April.
