Alameda, Alameda County: There were outdoor crowd scenes filmed at the old Island Auto Movie on Thau Way off Webster Street. They also shot on a Sunday at the Alameda Penny Market.

Cunningham, Sonoma County: Corbit's Garage.

Monterey, Monterey County.

Oakland, Alameda County: The Paramount Theater was used for Robert Redford's character's campaign headquarters. Webster Street Drive-In.

Ross, Marin County: Marin Art & Garden Center.

San José, Santa Clara County: Eastridge Mall

Santa Rosa, Sonoma County: Howarth Park. Schlumberger Gallery.

Tracy, San Joaquin County: The parade (actually Tracy's homecoming parade) was shot on -11th Street.
