Agua Dulce, Los Angeles County: Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park was used as a filming location for Initiations (1995-1996).

Burbank, Los Angeles County.

Griffith Park, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County: Bronson Caves.

Hollywood, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County: The majority of the series was filmed on stage at Paramount Studios on Melrose Avenue between Gower Street and Van Ness Avenue.

Lone Pine, Inyo County: Basics Part I (1995-1996) and Basics Part II (1996-1997).

Van Nuys, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County: The Starfleet Headquarters gardens were filmed at the Japanese Garden at Woodley Avenue Park, between Victory Boulevard and Burbank Boulevard. This appeared in episodes such as In the Flesh (1998-1999).
