The exterior of the Café Roads was actually the
Vesuvio Café at 255 Columbus Avenue at Kerouac Alley, between Broadway and Pacific.

This interior of the Café Roads was originally filmed at Picaro Café, 3120 -16th Street at Valencia, but Mike Myers demanded that these scenes be cut and they were reshot instead at the Rococo Showplace, 165 -10th Street at Howard.

The cable car turn-around at Beach & Hyde Streets,
next to Victorian Park.

The family home was filmed at 305 Hugo Street at 4th Avenue.

Union Street at Columbus Avenue.

Meats of the World was filmed at Prudente's Italian Deli, 1462 Grant Avenue at Union Street.
The customer holding the paper bag here was played by actress Kiki Douveas.
She and I took acting classes together at U.C. Berkeley's Dramatic Arts Department in 1997-1998.

The police station was shot at San Francisco's War Memorial on Van Ness Avenue,
between McAllister and Grove, across the street from City Hall.

This outdoor café set was specially constructed at Battery East within the Presidio near the Golden Gate Bridge.

The Palace of Fine Arts, the last remaining building from the Panama-Pacific Exposition of 1915.

Nancy Travis' place was filmed at live-work lofts converted from the old Sears Building
near Valencia and Cesar Chavez (then Army Street).

Coit Tower in Pioneer Park on Telegraph Hill.

Various exteriors and interiors of the former prison on Alcatraz Island.

Fog City Diner, 1300 Battery Street at the Embarcadero.

San Francisco Chronicle, 901 Mission Street at 5th Street.

Alamo Square, bounded by Steiner, Fulton,
Scott, and Hayes Streets.

Mike Myers' place was at Aladdin Terrace in North Beach.

The first picture shows Aladdin Terrace, off of Taylor Street, between Filbert and Union.
The second one, a composited image, is looking north up Taylor Street from Filbert.

This was the roof of the same former Sears Building.

The exterior of the Cock o' the North was filmed on the
900 block of Columbus Avenue at Taylor & Chestnut.

The interior was at Edinburgh Castle,
950 Geary Street at Larkin Street.

St. John's Presbyterian Church, 25 Lake Street at Arguello.

The wedding reception was filmed at
Swedenborgian Church, 2107 Lyon Street at Washington.

Golden Gate Bridge.

These driving shots were done in the Marin Headlands.

And this one was somewhere in the Presidio.

These quick shots of Nancy Travis' former acquaintances were probably done
at the warehouse sets built at Bayview-Hunters Point.

This strange shot is actually the Dunsmuir House, but with an extra tower and mountain ranges added by special effects.
