ROMEO MUST DIE

Despite most of the movie being set in Oakland, they did not actually film there, but used Vancouver, BC, instead. Too bad the filmmakers didn't contact the Oakland Film Commission who would have provided a lot of tax credits and incentives for them to instead shoot in the East Bay!

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
Filming Locations —

•	City and County of San Francisco: Golden Gate Bridge. Market Street at Main Street. Embarcadero. Pier 33. Market Street at Turk Street. Essex Street. Bay Bridge.

•	Yerba Buena Island, City and County of San Francisco.

That is the Golden Gate Bridge, shot on a dark night.

Market Street at Main Street. The Ferry Building is in the distance.

Driving on the Embarcadero with a view of the Embarcadero Center buildings (surrounded by Christmas lights), the Golden Gateway Apartment buildings, and the Transamerica Pyramid.

Ghirardelli Square is bounded by North Point,
Leavenworth, Beach, and Polk Streets.

Pier 33 on the Embarcadero at Bay Street.

Still on the Embarcadero, that is not a cable car, but one of those buses made to look like one. Only tourists ride these.

Back on Market Street, approaching
the intersection of Mason and Turk.

Continuing from the previous picture, the car turns right on Turk Street. That's the Metropolis Hotel in the background with the Ambassador Hotel behind it.

We're now on Essex Street at Folsom Street,
approaching the Bay Bridge.

Now on the Bay Bridge, this tunnel passes through Yerba Buena Island. The exit here goes down to Treasure Island.

That's supposed to be a view of the San Francisco
skyline from Oakland, but it's really Vancouver.

I wish we had snow-covered mountains here in the Bay Area!
