Filming Locations —

•	Danville, Contra Costa County: Bridges Restaurant and Bar, 44 Church Street, Danville.

•	Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Marin County.

Oakland, Alameda County: On 26-27 April 1993 they filmed the swimming pool scenes at the Claremont Resort and Spa. The shots at the KTVU television station (near Jack London Square) were done during the week of 3 May 1993. The Alameda County Courthouse (1225 Fallon Street, Department 8) was scouted, but it appears that no filming was done there.

•	Redwood City, San Mateo County: San Mateo County Courthouse.

•	Richmond, Contra Costa County: Richmond Marina.

•	City and County of San Francisco: Filbert Street. 2640 Steiner Street. South of Market. Columbus Avenue. Hyde Street.

•	San Ramon, Contra Costa County.

The children's school was filmed at the City College of San Francisco's Chinatown Campus, 940 Filbert Street at Taylor.

This nice panorama stretches from the Sts. Peter & Paul Church south to the Financial District.
This was filmed at Harvey Fierstein's character's apartment, 1200 Washington Street at Taylor.

The family home is at 2640 Steiner Street at Broadway, Pacific Heights.

The courtroom were filmed at
the old San Mateo County Courthouse.

The exterior of KTVU Channel 2 is at Jack London Square, Oakland. I don't know if the interiors were also done there.

This apartment was at 520-522A Green Street at Grant..

Golden Gate Bridge.

The intersection of Broadway & Columbus, with the Transamerica Pyramid in the background. The short green building in the lower center is American Zoetrope, owned by Francis Ford Coppola. Henninger-Stahl Casting is down this block on the left and City Lights is on the right.

Robin Williams as Mrs. Doubtfire on Steiner Street. While working at What Dreams May Come, Robin Williams told me that during the filming of Mrs. Doubtfire he would often walk unnoticed around the streets of San Francisco in character as Mrs. Doubtfire. He said he'd go to porno stores and ask in his old-lady voice for a certain tape behind the counter.

Williams is on a cable car, possibly on Hyde Street.

The swimming pool scenes were filmed at the Claremont Hotel and Resort in the Oakland hills.

Bridges Restaurant is in Danville.
