Jenner, Sonoma County: One of the aerial shots is above Jenner at the end of the Russian River.

Point Arena, Mendocino County: Point Arena Lighthouse. The B-25 plane seen in the movie took off from the Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa, but no filming was done there.

The house, modeled after one in Point Richmond, Contra Costa County, was built from scratch just for these brief shots.

The crew also used a Desert Storm military runway for some of the landings.
They rented it from the Department of Defense for just $1 plus the price of shipping.
