This scene must be a foreshadowing of San Francisco's increasing parking problem. After leaving Gabbiano's,
Dolittle gets in his car way all the way north up by Aquatic Park. That's a walk for him of about 2½ miles!

Coit Tower, 1 Telegraph Hill Blvd. off Lombard Street, Pioneer Park, San Francisco. In 1931, Lillie Hitchcock Coit donated money for this 210-foot tower, designed by Arthur Brown Jr., as a memorial to the firefighters of the 1906 Earthquake.

Note that most of the tiger scenes actually in Coit Tower were faked down in Los Angeles with a translight background.
Besides the shots looking fake, the geography is wrong. If the Transamerica Pyramid is to Dolittle's left,
the Golden Gate Bridge would more likely appear behind the tiger, instead of the Bay Bridge and Ferry Building.
