•	Marin Headlands, Marin County: Headlands Center for the Arts. East Fort Baker.

•	Oakland, Alameda County: KTVU-Fox TV studios at Jack London Square.

•	City and County of San Francisco: Fort Mason / Marina Green. Mariposa & Connecticut. Twin Peaks. Sound Factory at 525 Harrison Street. Pier 40. South of Market.

•	San Mateo, San Mateo County: College of San Mateo at 1700 West Hillsdale Boulevard.

•	Treasure Island, City and County of San Francisco: Sets built at Treasure Island included the interiors of the school lecture hall and Sigourney Weaver's apartment.

The exterior of the lecture hall was at the College of San Mateo and the interior was a set built at Treasure Island.

The bathroom scene and Helen Hudson (Sigourney Weaver)'s apartment were also Treasure Island sets.

The exterior of the Hudson apartment was
a façade built at Pier 1, Fort Mason Center.

Ruben Goetz (Dermot Mulroney) and M.J. Monahan
(Holly Hunter) at the real SFPD shooting range.

This is the playground in the center of Alta Plaza Park, bordered by Scott, Jackson, Steiner, and Clay Streets.
The jogger on the right was played by Corie Henninger, sister of San Francisco casting director Nina Henninger.

The dialogue claimed this was 10390 Mariposa,
but it's really 192-196 Connecticut Street at Mariposa.

The interiors were possibly done at
82 and 67 Rico Way in the Marina.

Hey, that's the guy from the Round Table Pizza commercials!
Maybe that's why his one line here was, "I'll make them say cheese." (cheese, get it?). His real name is Bill Bonham and he was also in Peggy Sue Got Married and Tucker.

The Festival of Love scenes were done near Marina Green
at the Blues Festival which, conveniently for the crew, was happening at the same time.

The interior of the serial killer's house was the guest residence at the
Headlands Center for the Arts, Rosenstock Street, Marin Headlands.

From the top of Twin Peaks you can see Market Street, Potrero, and the Mission District (left) and Sutro Tower (right).

Dennis Richmond is a real-life news reporter on KTVU-Fox
Channel 2, based at Jack London Square, Oakland.

The hallway outside the apartment was also shot at the
old aircraft hangars at Treasure Island.

The Sound Factory is located at 525 Harrison Street at 1st Street in South of Market.

This is the Java House at Pier 40.

This driver's license is for Jonathan Michael Amiel — the
director! Two others belonged to Bryan Duff (Property
Assistant) and Donald McMillan (On Set Dresser).

The exterior of the killer's house was in East Fort Baker.

Corner at Fifth Street.

I don't know which rooftop this scene was shot on.

This is one of those rare movies that gives a respectable credits placement to the hardworking Locations Department. Here, everyone appears at the very beginning of the scroll!
