  When I saw this movie on the big screen in Berkeley, CA, the students in the audience were howling with laughter at these scenes. U.C. Berkeley students, particularly lower-classmen like Forlani and Prinze's characters, rarely manage to leave Berkeley or San Francisco, let alone somehow manage to get to the trails at the Marin Headlands. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

  This scene evokes laughter from not only Cal students, but anybody who has any geographical knowledge of the Bay Area. Claire Forlani is supposed to be taking a shuttle from Berkeley to the airport, yet we see her heading south on the Golden Gate Bridge. In real life, this would just be a quick trip down Highway 880 to Oakland International, with no need to swing through Marin County. What made this scene worse was her cry out to stop the taxi in the middle of the bridge! This, of course, is an impossibility. The filmmakers actually wanted to shoot her hopping out of the taxi in the middle of the roadway (don't even ask where she was planning to run to from there), but this was not allowed by the Golden Gate Highway and Transportation District, hence the abrupt edit of this scene. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
